Denton ISD originally had AMX Synergy at five schools.
All were upgraded to Phoenix in 2004. In 2010, those
five schools were retrofitted from the traditional RF
topology to a streaming-to-the-desktop solution. The
same footprint was also installed at nine additional
campuses.
The system utilizes Phoenix in conjunction
with Grass Valley MediaEdge3. DVD/VCR combo units
are connected to MediaEdge MVR-D4400 real-time
encoder cards. The content is streamed to the desktop.
End users control the Head End sources and also view
content using the XGen web client interface.
